Ethiopian Construction Technology and Management Professionals Association (ECoTMPA)

ECoTMPA is a prominent professional association committed to advancing Ethiopia’s construction sector by enhancing the competencies of construction technology and management professionals. Established in 2010, the association brings together engineers, academics, consultants, and industry practitioners to promote innovation, ethical standards, and sector-wide collaboration.

Core Objectives:

• Professional Development:Provide capacity-building through specialized training and certification programs.
• Network Development:Create platforms for collaboration among professionals, institutions, and stakeholders.
• Resource Development:Facilitate access to tools, research, and global best practices in construction management.

Major Activities:

• Hosting professional development workshops and conferences.
• Facilitate training on Project Management (PMP), Building Information Modeling (BIM), and emerging construction technologies.
• Partnering with government institutions, universities, and international associations.
• Promoting knowledge sharing and policy engagement in Ethiopia’s construction ecosystem.
• Promote Right and Duties of ECoTMPA members

Key Achievements:

• Successfully organized 3 internationaland 5 national workshops.
• Built strategic ties with institutions such as South Bank University, Reading University, and the Belgian & South Africa Contractors Association.
• Contributed to industry policy inpute in partnership with the Ethiopian Construction Authorityand Urban and Infrastructure Ministry.
