The PMI Ethiopia Chapter is the official local representative of the Project Management Institute (PMI), the world’s leading
authority in project management. Chartered in 2020, the chapter brings together project professionals from diverse sectors
including construction, engineering, healthcare, and ICT to strengthen professional competencies and elevate project
leadership nationwide. Through networking platforms, knowledge-sharing events, training programs, and volunteering
opportunities, the chapter empowers its members to connect, learn, and lead with excellence. The chapter hosts a wide
range of webinars, in–person events, networking sessions, and professional development programs, creating continuous
learning opportunities for both emerging and experienced practitioners. Members engage in lively discussions, share best
practices, and gain insights from peers and industry leaders.
PMI Ethiopia Chapter also leads social impact initiatives and encourages a culture of volunteering, enabling practitioners to
contribute to community development while earning valuable professional development units (PDUs). Its activities foster
collaboration, support career advancement, and empower project managers to apply global standards and practical
knowledge to real–world challenges.
At its core, the chapter is committed to enabling project professionals to share their practical experiences, expand their
capabilities, and elevate the quality of project delivery across Ethiopia. Through an active, inclusive, and knowledge –driven
community, PMI Ethiopia continues to nurture the next generation of project leaders and strengthen the country’s project
management ecosystem.
