Eng. Wondimu Seta

Mr. Wondimu Seta is a State Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure. Mr. Wondimu worked for the Ministry as Director General of the Land and Property Registration Agency before he was appointed as a State Minister in May 2022.Mr. Wondimu holds a BSc degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA in Project Management.

 


Eng. Yonas Ayalew Tessema

Eng. Yonas Ayalew Tessema is a Civil Engineer. He is the current Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation and president of the Ethiopian Association of Civil Engineers. He was the bureau head and cabinet member of the Addis Ababa City Construction Bureau. He holds B.SC in Civil Engineering from Addis Ababa University, Transformational Leadership and Change University of Greenwich. He is well-known in Addis Ababa for providing jobs for young engineering graduates through micro and small construction firms, expediting their path to becoming business owners.

 

 

Dr. Nigatu Chaffo Dullo

Dr. Nigatu Chaffo is a World Bank Consultant (Finance in Ministry of Transport and Logistics) for Regulatory in Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure Development-Ethiopian Construction Authority. He has completed his MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering from Technical University Brno Czech Republic in 1993 and PhD in Civil/Structural Engineering from Technical University Hamburg- Germany 2003.

 


Brook Tefera

Mr. Brook Tefera is a registered Professional Architect practicing architecture since 2004 in Ethiopia. He has been involved in the complete design, supervision and contract administration of different buildings including residential, commercial and industrial nature. In August 2012, he formed BIGAR Builders & Developers PLC with three other partners, a design and project management firm engaged in the design and delivery of different projects in Ethiopia.

 


Abel Gebretsadik

Abel Gebretsadik is a Structural Engineer by profession, with extensive post-tensioning & structural strengthening knowledge and experience in the Middle East. For the past 8 years, Abel has delivered some iconic structures in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ethiopia with projects ranging from high-rise towers (77 stories), structures in a man-made island, long-span transfer beams, and more.Abel is currently a founder and General Manager of Alpha Post Tension PLC.

 


Eng. Dawit Kebede

Dawit Kebede is a highly experienced structural engineer with B.Sc. + M.Sc. in Civil Engineering, an MBA with a focus on real estate marketing, and a remarkable more-than-20-years-spanning career in structural engineering across Ethiopia and Switzerland. As the co-founder and CEO of Afro-European Engineers (AEE) since 2007 GC, Dawit has effectively headed numerous projects in collaboration with the renowned 3K Engineering Group.

 


Dr. Abraham Assefa

Dr. Abraham Assefa is the Resident Engineer and Project Director at CBE New Head Office Building, Ethiopia. He has a proven construction project management and Design - Build contract administration experience through implementation of high-rise, commercial, five star- hotels and residential projects with total contract amount over $500 Million and many more accomplishments in the construction sector.

 


Prof. Esayas Ftwi

Dr. Esayas Ftwi is an Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Addis Ababa University. His research interest generally relate to the performance assessment of RC structures subjected to combined mechanical, environmental and material deterioration actions. Currently he is working on the development of low-carbon Engineered Cementitious Composite in collaboration with the Center for Low Carbon Built Environment of University of Michigan.

 


Maheder Gebremedhin Borga

Ato Maheder is a Practicing Professional Architect graduated from Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, Faculty of Technology, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. (1999) with 24 and a half years of continuous practical experience. In September 2007 he established YEMA Architecture plc and manages its since. He has extensive experience working in various projects as a designers, supervisor and project coordinator in Ethiopia with local & international collaborations.

 


Marshet Mengstu

Marshet Mengstu is an accomplished Architect who is now a Managing Partner at Warkalab Design PLC. She has Served as part of the Jury Panel and evaluated the entries for a large number of design competitions. Marshet completed her Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Urban Planning from Addis Ababa University and did her Master of Science in Urban Planning and Design from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.

 

 


Tadesse Girmay Gebreegziabher

Tadesse is an Architect-planner who is currently teaching and conducting research at Eiabc. He has co-published 2 books and published 2 book chapters. He is a local representative of Warka Water Project, representative of AEA at AUA Heritage matters and ARA Heritage Chair and a Board Member of ICOMOS Ethiopia. Tadesse is the General Manager of Tadesse Girmay Consulting Architects and presented Warka Water at the Milan Expo 2015.
